    The Duke of Westminster, Honorary Colonel of The Royal Armoured Corps, today pledged £10,000 to The Liverpool Pals Memorial Fund as part of a campaign to commemorate Liverpool’s World War One sacrifice.   5. Army bridge reconnects flood-hit town of Workington

    The town of Workington in Cumbria has been reunited with the opening of a new footbridge after last month’s devastating floods, which split the town in two.
